Luigi Mangione, accused of fatally shooting UnitedHealth Group executive Brian Thompson in Manhattan, was indicted on 11 charges, including first-degree murder and murder as a crime of terrorism, Reuters reports.
The indictment alleges Mangione killed Thompson with the intent to influence government policy through intimidation. Mangione was arrested in Pennsylvania after a five-day manhunt and is currently held on gun charges while New York prosecutors seek his extradition. The motive remains unclear, though Mangione reportedly struggled with chronic back pain.
