Hezbollah launched a barrage of rockets and drones into northern Israel, resulting in one death, with one drone targeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s holiday home, but he was not present, Reuters reports.
Hezbollah claimed to have conducted 11 attacks on Israeli military sites, with some rockets hitting residential areas in northern Israel, killing one person and injuring nine. Meanwhile, Israel conducted airstrikes in southern Lebanon, resulting in at least two casualties. The attack came amid ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, where Israeli strikes have killed over 30 people.
Both Hezbollah and Hamas have pledged to continue fighting, despite hopes that the death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar might lead to de-escalation. Sinwar, responsible for the October 7, 2023, attack that sparked the current Gaza conflict, was killed by Israeli forces in Gaza.
