Israeli forces have been intensifying attacks against the Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza, with thousands of civilians trapped, according to Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), Reuters reports.
The Israeli offensive, aimed at preventing Hamas from regrouping, has resulted in the deaths of at least 61 Palestinians across Gaza on Friday, including 20 in Jabalia. Israeli strikes reportedly hit a school sheltering displaced individuals, causing further injuries. MSF reported that access to and from Jabalia is restricted, and its staff are also trapped there. The Israeli military claims to have killed numerous militants, but it is unclear how many of the deceased were civilians.
The Israeli military has launched operations in Jabalia and surrounding areas, while Hamas has vowed to continue its resistance. Palestinian health officials have reported around 130 deaths from the operation, with over 400,000 people still trapped in the conflict zone.
