Apple Showcases iPhone 16, Watches and AirPods

Apple unveiled its new iPhone 16 series, featuring enhanced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities designed to improve Siri and camera functionalities, Reuters reports.

The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will maintain the price of previous models, featuring a new chip and customizable camera controls. The high-end 16 Pro and Pro Max models, made from titanium, offer advanced AI capabilities for photo and video editing. Apple also unveiled updates to its Watches and AirPods, including health-focused enhancements and hearing-aid features.

Apple’s AI software, Apple Intelligence, will debut in test mode in the US next month and expand to other languages and regions in 2024. The company aims to drive upgrades with these new features amid a slowdown in iPhone sales.

Despite these innovations, analysts suggest the release might not generate the same excitement as in past years, partly due to delays in feature rollouts and strong competition from Huawei, which has garnered significant pre-orders for its new tri-fold phone.
