Linkin Park has announced Emily Armstrong as their new lead singer, alongside existing members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, and Joe Hahn, BBC reports.
Armstrong, who was inspired by Linkin Park’s 2000 album “Hybrid Theory,” expressed her excitement about joining the band. Armstrong, known for her work with the alt-rock band Dead Sara, will share vocal duties with Shinoda. Colin Brittain will replace Rob Bourdon as the band’s drummer. This new lineup marks the band’s first major project since the death of their former lead singer Chester Bennington in 2017.
The band’s new album “From Zero,” will be followed by a world tour visiting cities like Los Angeles, New York, and London. They will also release a new single, “The Emptiness Machine,” and have performed it in a live broadcast to introduce their new members.
