Israeli Military Withdraws From the West Bank After Military Operation

Israeli forces withdrew from three refugee camps in the occupied West Bank, including Jenin, after a week-long military operation targeting Palestinian militants, AP News reports.

The operation, which involved hundreds of troops, resulted in at least 39 Palestinian deaths, most of whom Israel claims were militants. Israeli forces used bulldozers to search for explosives in civilian areas, leading to damaged infrastructure. The fighting severely disrupted civilians in Jenin, with water and power cut off. Israeli forces appear to have withdrawn by Friday, though the military indicated the counterterrorism operation may continue

Meanwhile, health workers in Gaza resumed a polio vaccination campaign amid the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas. Efforts to reach a cease-fire have stalled over disputes regarding Israeli control of key corridors along Gaza’s border.
