BMW Recalls 140,000 Electric Mini Coopers Due to Battery Issues

BMW is recalling its electric Mini Cooper SE vehicles worldwide due to potential battery issues that could affect over 140,000 cars globally, including around 39,000 in Germany, Reuters reports.

The problem involves the battery system, which could overheat and possibly cause a fire, even when the vehicle is parked. Although there have been no reported accidents or injuries, BMW advises customers who receive a warning message from the car’s diagnostic system to visit a Mini service partner for inspection.
