An Israeli airstrike on a Gaza City school sheltering displaced people killed at least 15 Palestinians, the Israeli military claimed the targeted school in Gaza was used by Hamas as a command center, which Hamas denied, Reuters reports.
Earlier, Israeli airstrikes in the West Bank killed nine militants, including a local Hamas commander, during what Israel described as counter-terrorism operations. Additional strikes have killed six people in Rafah and two in Gaza City.
An Israeli delegation visited Cairo to discuss ceasefire negotiations, but tensions remain high, particularly after the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran and a Hezbollah commander in Beirut.
