Actor Steve Buscemi Punched in the Face in New York City

Actor Steve Buscemi was punched in the face by a man on a New York City street but is reportedly okay, according to his publicist, Associated Press reports.

The 66-year-old star of “Fargo” and “Boardwalk Empire” was assaulted late Wednesday morning in Manhattan, sustaining bruising, swelling, and bleeding to his left eye. The assault was described as a random act of violence and Buscemi was taken to a nearby hospital to recover. The New York Police Department has not made any arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.

This incident comes after Buscemi’s “Boardwalk Empire” co-star Michael Stuhlbarg was hit in the back of the neck with a rock while walking in Central Park on March 31. Stuhlbarg chased his attacker, who was apprehended outside the park.
