Apple unveiled its latest iPad Pro and Air models, featuring faster processors, new sizes, and a revamped display system, Associated Press reports.
The iPad Pro boasts a thinner design, a new M4 processor, upgraded storage, and dual OLED panels for a brighter display. Prices for the 11-inch model start at $999, while the 13-inch model starts at $1,299.
The new iPad Air features the faster M2 chip, a redesigned body, increased base storage, and a new 13-inch display option. It also supports the new Apple Pencil Pro, previously exclusive to the Pro models. The 11-inch model is priced at $599, and the 13-inch model at $799. Additionally, Apple announced a price reduction for its 10th generation iPad, now priced at $349.
Apple’s move aims to boost iPad sales after a 17% decline in the January-March period. Despite its initial success in redefining the tablet market, the iPad now contributes only 6% to Apple’s sales. Analysts see the updates as necessary but not groundbreaking, with the new models available in stores starting May 15.
