Israeli Military Withdraws Troops From Southern Gaza

Israel’s military announced the withdrawal of its forces from the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, marking the end of a significant phase in its ground offensive against Hamas, Associated Press reports.

However, Israeli officials clarified that this troop withdrawal was part of a strategic regrouping as the military prepares for potential operations into Rafah, considered Hamas’ last stronghold in the region.

The six-month conflict has led to devastation in Gaza, with significant civilian casualties and infrastructure damage. There are growing frustrations in Israel over the government’s handling of the situation, including protests demanding action to secure the release of the remaining 130 hostages held by Hamas.
