Former US President Donald Trump emerged victorious in caucuses held in Idaho and Missouri, as well as sweeping the delegate count at a party convention in Michigan, Associated Press reports.
Trump’s dominance in these contests propelled his delegate count to 244, compared to just 24 for his rival former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley. Trump appears on track to secure the 1,215 delegates needed to secure the nomination. The next event is in the District of Columbia, followed by Super Tuesday, where 16 states will hold primaries.
