Warren Buffett’s Son Howard Has Donated Over $500 Million to Ukraine

Howard Buffett, the son of billionaire investor Warren Buffett, has pledged continued support for Ukraine amid its ongoing conflict with Russia, with his foundation having injected over $500 million in humanitarian aid, Business Insider reports.

The Howard G. Buffett Foundation has provided over $521 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine since the conflict began and plans to allocate another $300 million this year, contributing to a total of at least $800 million by the end of 2024. The foundation’s aid focuses on conflict mitigation, food security, and agricultural revitalization in Ukraine, aiming to alleviate the humanitarian crisis and support the country’s resilience.

Buffett praises Zelensky’s leadership amidst the ongoing conflict and emphasizes the need for sustained international backing despite potential “Ukraine fatigue” in the United States. He views Ukraine’s situation as one of the largest humanitarian crises and asserts the necessity of global solidarity with Ukraine in its fight for freedom and sovereignty.
