Former US President Donald Trump made a surprising appearance at “Sneaker Con” in Philadelphia, where he unveiled Trump-branded sneakers for sale, drawing mixed reactions with both cheers and boos from the crowd, Associated Press reports.
The gold high tops, dubbed “Never Surrender High-Tops,” are priced at $399 and were launched on a new website along with other Trump-branded products. The sneaker website claims to be non-political, but describes the shoes as a collector’s item and invokes Trump’s image.
The launch came a day after a judge ordered Trump to pay $355 million in penalties for misleading financial statements and an $83.3 million judgment in a defamation case.
