Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen announced at the Munich Security Conference that Denmark will send its entire artillery to Ukraine and urged other European nations to do more to assist Ukraine in its fight against Russian forces, Business Insider reports.
The move comes as Ukraine faces severe shortages of artillery shells, hindering its military operations. In addition to Denmark’s support, the Czech Republic has offered to supply 800,000 shells to Ukraine, further alleviating the ammunition shortage.
With a $60 billion US aid package stalled in Congress, European support has become crucial for Ukraine, with the EU recently agreeing to a new 50 billion euro aid package for the country.
