Iran has executed four individuals accused of planning sabotage and having alleged links with Israel’s Mossad, Associated Press reports.
The men were convicted of planning to target an Iranian defense ministry factory in 2022 in Isfahan. The operation was reportedly orchestrated by Mossad, with the individuals allegedly trained by the Israeli agency in an African country before entering Iran.
The execution was carried out after the Supreme Court upheld their death sentences. Iran and Israel have a history of accusing each other of espionage and engaging in a shadow war.
