Hamas released a video claiming to show the bodies of two Israeli hostages, Itai Svirsky and Yossi Sharabi. The video featured Noa Argamani, a university student in captivity, reading a script claiming that both men were killed by Israeli strikes, Reuters reports.
Israeli military spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari denied the claim that Israeli forces were responsible for their deaths, stating that the hostages were not targeted, and their deaths were inconsistent with the evidence.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant accused Hamas of psychological abuse and emphasized the need for military pressure to secure the release of more hostages. More than 240 hostages were taken by Hamas on October 7, around 132 remain in Gaza, with 25 reported dead.
