Hamas has released a 37-second video on the 100th day of the conflict, featuring three Israeli hostages, urging the Israeli government to halt the offensive against Hamas for their release, Reuters reports.
The hostages in the video are Noa Argamani, 26, Yossi Sharabi, 53, and Itai Svirsky, 38, the footage ends with a message suggesting that their fate will be revealed the next day.
Hamas claimed to have lost contact with some hostages during Israeli shelling, suggesting they might have been killed. Of the 240 seized by Hamas on October 7, around 132 remain in Gaza, with 25 reported dead.
The hostage crisis has deeply affected Israelis, prompting calls for a truce, while Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insists on continuing the offensive until Hamas is destroyed.
