Activision Blizzard will pay approximately $50 million to settle a 2021 lawsuit by California’s Civil Rights Department (CRD) over allegations of discrimination against women employees, Reuters reports.
The settlement addresses allegations of systemic sexual harassment, discrimination against women, denial of promotion opportunities, and paying less than men for similar work.
Activision Blizzard will implement measures for fair pay and promotion practices and provide monetary relief to affected women in California between October 12, 2015, and December 31, 2020.
