Hunter Biden, son of US President Joe Biden, stated in a podcast interview that critics of his father are attempting to “destroy a presidency” through relentless attacks on him and are “trying to kill me,” Reuters reports.
The interview, conducted by musician Moby, was released a day after the Justice Department filed new criminal charges against Hunter Biden, accusing him of failing to pay taxes.
Hunter Biden, 53, has been a focal point of criticism by Republicans, who allege that the Biden family improperly profited from policy decisions during Joe Biden’s vice-presidency.
Hunter Biden mentioned the challenges he and his family faced, including having to move from their home due to privacy concerns. He suggested that the attacks were an attempt to “kill” him and cause pain to his father, potentially impacting the presidency.
