Hamas has released eight Israeli hostages in Gaza as part of an extension of the truce deal, while Israel freed 30 Palestinian prisoners, Reuters reports.
The Qatari-mediated truce requires daily releases of hostages, but there were only eight on Thursday instead of the usual ten, as Hamas had released two extra hostages the day before.
The total number of hostages released by Hamas during the truce is 105, and Israel has released 240 Palestinian prisoners. Mediators are working to negotiate a further extension of the truce.
