Hamas has released 14 hostages, including ten Israeli women and children and four Thai nationals, while Israel freed 30 Palestinian women and child prisoners in the latest exchange of captives under a temporary ceasefire agreement in the Gaza war, Al Jazeera reports.
This is the sixth such exchange since the beginning of the conflict. The Palestinians released from Israeli jails include 16 minors and 14 women, with prominent activist Ahed Tamimi among them.
Two Russian-Israeli women were also freed in a prior release.
The ceasefire agreement, initially set for four days, was first extended by two days and has now been extended for a second time. Since Friday, at least 74 captives from Israel and 210 Palestinians have been released.
