Charlie Munger, the influential investor and Berkshire Hathaway’s vice chairman, has passed away at the age of 99, CNBC reports.
Munger, a real estate attorney, chairman of the Daily Journal Corp., member of the Costco board, philanthropist, and architect, played a pivotal role in Berkshire’s success and was known for his wisdom and investment philosophy.
Munger contributed to reshaping Warren Buffett’s investment strategy toward higher-quality underpriced companies. Despite his significant wealth, estimated at $2.3 billion in early 2023, it was notably smaller than Buffett’s fortune.
