At Least 8 Palestinians Killed in West Bank Violence

Israeli forces operating in the occupied West Bank have killed at least eight Palestinians, including a suspected militant, amid a temporary halt in the Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza, AP News reports.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said that five Palestinians were killed in the militant stronghold of Jenin, while three others were killed in separate areas of the West Bank.

The Israeli military claimed to have killed five Palestinian militants during an operation in the Jenin refugee camp to arrest a suspect involved in the killing of an Israeli father and son earlier in the year.

The recent violence in the West Bank occurs amid a temporary pause in the conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, allowing for aid delivery and a hostage-prisoner exchange.
