The al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian militant group Hamas, has announced a delay in the second round of hostage releases until Israel commits to allowing aid trucks to enter northern Gaza, CNBC reports.
This setback follows the first exchange of hostages on Friday, where Hamas released 24 hostages, including 13 Israeli, 10 Thai farmworkers, and one Filipino, while Israel released 39 Palestinian prisoners.
The truce deal between Israel and Hamas, mediated by Qatar, involves the exchange of 50 hostages for 150 Palestinian prisoners over four days.
