The Israeli military claims to have discovered a reinforced tunnel near Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza that allegedly served as a command post for Hamas fighters, Reuters reports.
The tunnel, accessed through an outdoor shaft in the hospital complex, was equipped with facilities such as a bathroom, kitchen, and an air-conditioned meeting room. The military also displayed weapons and explosives recovered from the hospital grounds.
Israel has long accused Hamas of using the hospital complex as a command and control center, claiming it hides among the civilian population, while Hamas and hospital officials deny the accusations.
