Israel’s military claims that they found an operational command center and assets belonging to Palestinian Hamas militants in Gaza’s Al Shifa hospital, Reuters reports.
Israel claims that the hospital is located above a Hamas headquarters in tunnels, an assertion that US intelligence supports, but which Hamas denies.
Israeli forces entered the hospital after surrounding it for days and claims to have discovered weapons, combat gear, and technological equipment. The military released a video showing materials recovered from the hospital, including automatic weapons, grenades, ammunition and flak jackets.
The entry into the hospital has raised concerns about the safety of civilians, patients, and staff seeking shelter in the hospital.
