Palestinian Death Toll Passes 10,000 After Monthlong War

The Palestinian death toll has now surpassed 10,000, with a significant number of civilian casualties, making it the deadliest round of Israeli-Palestinian violence in 75 years, AP News reports.

More than 10,022 people have been killed in Gaza, including over 4,100 children and 2,600 women, according to the Health Ministry in Hamas-controlled Gaza.

The conflict has caused a humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with food, medicine, fuel, and water running low. Mobile phone and internet outages have further complicated matters for civilians seeking safety or medical assistance.

Meanwhile, the United States’ diplomatic efforts to secure a ceasefire and negotiate the release of the estimated 240 hostages have been dismissed by Israel.
