The Harry Potter spin-off prequel series Fantastic Beasts has been “put on hold “parked” by Warner Bros, according to its director David Yates, The Guardian reports.
He cited the difficulty of making the third film “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore,” during the Covid-19 pandemic and the need for a break. The third movie made $407 million at the international box office, significantly less than previous films in the franchise.
Yates mentioned that the original plan for five films was a surprise to the cast and crew, and a pause in the franchise has been welcomed. He is currently focused on other projects.
