18 Dead After Mass Shooting in Maine, Manhunt Underway

18 people have been killed and 13 injured after a deadly shooting at a bowling alley and restaurant in Lewiston, Maine, AP News reports.

A massive manhunt has been launched on land and water for the alleged shooter Robert Card, a 40-year-old US Army reservist, who is considered armed and dangerous.

The suspect was reported as acting erratically in mid-July during military training at the US Military Academy at West Point, leading to concerns for his safety and police involvement.

The incident marks the 36th mass killing in the United States this year and US President Biden has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of the victims.
