Meta has announced Quest 3, a sequel to its highly popular VR headset Quest 2, with a starting price of $499 and ready to ship on October 10, CNBC reports.
The Quest 3 features improved hardware, including a more powerful Qualcomm chip, better screens, and “passthrough” capability.
This passthrough mode allows users to quickly see the real world outside the headset while using an app, enhancing comfort for extended use.
The predecessor Quest 2 is by far the bestselling VR headset, with nearly 10 million units sold last year, slightly down from a pandemic peak.
