The Polish government has clarified Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki’s earlier statement about stopping weapons shipments to Ukraine, Bloomberg reports.
Morawiecki’s statement about ending military aid to Ukraine was reportedly misunderstood and misinterpreted.
A government official has now clarified that Poland will still fulfill previously agreed-upon contracts for ammunition and armaments with Ukraine.
The confusion arose amid an escalating dispute between Poland and Ukraine over a grain import ban.
