Dominic Pezzola has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for his involvement in the US Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, Al Jazeera reports.
Prosecutors accused Pezzola of attacking a police officer and stealing his riot shield, which was used to smash a window to gain entry to the Capitol.
He was convicted on six felony charges, including assaulting a police officer, destruction of government property and robbery of government property.
