Former leader of the Proud Boys Joseph Biggs has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for his involvement in the US Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, Al Jazeera reports.
Biggs and three other Proud Boys members were found guilty of seditious conspiracy and other felonies.
Over 1,106 individuals have been charged in connection with the Capitol riot, with approximately 597 convicted and sentenced.
