Pop star Britney Spears and Iranian-American actor Sam Asghari have filed for divorce due to “irreconcilable differences”, BBC reports.
Spears, 41, expressed shock over the end of their six-year relationship and that the reason behind the breakup was “nobody’s business.”
Ashgari, 29, is requesting spousal support and payment of legal fees from Spears, according to court documents.
The couple first met when Spears was shooting the music video for her song Slumber Party in 2016, they later got engaged in September 2021.
