The leaders of the United States, Japan and South Korea have agreed to strengthen cooperation at the Camp David summit, AP News reports.
The three nations agreed to consult, share information, and coordinate communication during security crises in the Pacific region.
In a joint statement, they condemned China’s “dangerous and aggressive” action in the South China Sea.
They also expressed concern about North Korea’s nuclear and missile threats, which “have become sophisticated more than ever.”
Japan and South Korea are historical rivals but have recently improved relations due to shared security concerns.
