Eiffel Tower Briefly Evacuated After Bomb Alert

On Saturday, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, a major tourist attraction, was evacuated for several hours due to a bomb alert, Reuters reports.

The site which attracts millions of visitors annually, was searched by bomb disposal experts and police, including a restaurant within the tower.

Visitors were evacuated from the tower’s three floors and the surrounding area, while a security perimeter was established.

The alert was eventually lifted, and normal operations resumed.
