At least 80 people have been killed by wildfires on the Hawaiian island of Maui, with fears that the death toll will rise further, BBC reports.
The fires have devastated several areas, including the historic town of Lahaina, where over 1,000 buildings have been destroyed.
There are concerns over whether officials alerted residents quickly enough, prompting a review of the response by Hawaii’s attorney general.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his partner Lauren Sanchez have pledged $100 million to aid fire victims.
