Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni made a two-day state visit to the US and met with US President Joe Biden at the White House, AP News reports.
During their meeting, the two leaders discussed Ukraine, China, and the migration crisis from North Africa to Europe.
Despite the Biden administration’s initial concerns about Meloni’s far-right ideology, her strong support for Ukraine has eased those worries.
While Meloni’s political ideology aligns with the Republican Party, she emphasized the importance of a strong relationship with the US president.
