Spotify has announced that it will increase the prices of its Premium subscription plans by up to $2, CNBC reports.
The new price in the US will be:
– Premium Individual: $10.99 from $9.99
– Premium Duo: $14.99 from $12.99
– Premium Family: $16.99 from $15.99
– Student plan: $5.99 from $4.99
The price increase also applies to several other countries, including Canada, France, UK, Mexico and Australia.
The company said the market landscape has evolved and the adjustments will enable them to continue providing value to users and artists.
Existing subscribers will be notified of the price changes via email and have a one-month grace period before the new prices take effect.
