Israel’s parliament has approved a bill proposed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that limits the power of the judiciary, Bloomberg reports.
The law limits judges’ ability to overturn government decisions and appointments, passed 64-0 after opposition lawmakers walked out in protest.
The move has sparked significant public backlash, with hundreds of thousands of Israelis protesting the decision.
