India’s space agency successfully launched the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft, which aims to land a rover on the moon’s surface, AP News reports.
The mission comes after a failed attempt in 2019 when contact was lost with the lander during its descent.
If successful, India will become the fourth country to achieve a soft landing on the moon.
The country is now preparing for its first mission to the International Space Station in collaboration with the US next year.
