India’s Modi the Guest of Honour at France’s Bastille Day Parade

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the guest of honour at the Bastille Day military parade during his two-day state visit to France, Al Jazeera reports.

The parade featured French and Indian soldiers marching down the Champs Elysees and Rafale fighter jets flying over the Arc de Triomphe.

Modi also received the prestigious the Legion of Honour award and approved defense deals between India and France.

India gave initial approval to purchase 26 additional Rafale jets and three Scorpene-class submarines from France.
