Ryanair, the largest low-cost airline in Europe, announced that it transported a record-breaking 17.4 million passengers in June, Reuters reports.
It marks a 9% year-on-year increase and surpassed the previous record of 17 million passengers set in May.
The airline faced disruptions due to air traffic control strikes, leading to the cancellation of more than 900 flights, affecting around 160,000 customers.
Despite the disruptions, Ryanair’s flights maintained a consistently high occupancy rate with an average capacity of 95%.
