On Thursday, the US Coast Guard recovered debris from a missing submersible and all five passengers are believed to be dead, Deutsche Welle reports.
Five pieces of debris belonging to the Titan submersible have been found and the vessel is believed to have suffered a catastrophic implosion.
The US Navy detected an acoustic anomaly consistent with an implosion or explosion in the vicinity where the submersible was operating.
The search teams will continue investigating the debris field to determine the timing of the implosion.
