On Thursday, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg traveled to Kyiv to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Reuters reports.
At a press conference, the two discussed Ukraine’s desire to join NATO and that Zelensky had been invited to attend the NATO summit in Vilnius in July.
Last September, Ukraine announced a bid for fast-track membership into the alliance after Russia annexed four occupied Ukrainian regions.
