Meta has announced it will open up social VR platform Horizon Worlds to teens in the United States and Canada after previously having an 18-year age limit, TechCrunch reports.
However, several politicians and activist groups have appealed to Meta not to open Horizon Worlds to younger users due to potentially harmful content on the platform.
Meta states that the rollout will be slow and that new security features as well as parental monitoring tools will make it safer for teenagers.
