On Tuesday, Intel announced it is discontinuing the production of its Bitcoin mining chip series in favor of smaller and faster chips, Reuters reports.
In 2022, Intel launched Blockscale a new series of chips specially designed for mining cryptocurrencies.
The last opportunity to order a Blockscale chip is on October 20 and shipping will end six months later on April 20.
