French President Emmanuel Macron has signed into law a controversial pension reform after it was approved by the Constitutional Council, reports Reuters.
The legislation is deeply unpopular among the public and would progressively push the retirement age from 62 to 64.
Following the Constitutional Council’s decision, protests broke out and over a hundred protesters were arrested in the capital.
