On Thursday, more than 1 million people demonstrated across France against President Emmanuel Macron’s pension reform, reports Le Monde.
The Interior Ministry said that 1.089 million protesters took part, with 119,000 in Paris. The CGT union claims that 3.5 million had marched, including 800,000 in the capital.
Trade unions now call for another nationwide strike next Tuesday, which coincides with a planned visit by Britain’s King Charles III to France.
